Owen is 4 months old today.

Sorry in advance for so many pictures. But I have to put a lot on here for my mom and sisters to see Owen. He is 4 months old today and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. He has been so much fun and I have loved watching him grow. I love him more than I ever thought I could love someone. He makes me so happy when I look at him and especially when he smiles back at me. He is so funny too. He does this angry thing where he clenches his fists and grunts real loud. Me and Shawn just laugh at him when he does this and I think that makes him more angry. But most of the time he is happy and smiling, usually with his whole hand in his mouth covered in slobber. He is one slobbery boy. As you can see below.

He was so intent on geting something out of my chin, but nothing came. He has a super strong grip, an just look at the expression on his face. Should I be scared??
Awwww, looks like we took one too many pictures huh?

Oh I guess it was two too many.

But then he does this face, and nothing else matters. This face says to me, "I know I am cute, and if I do this face, I can get away with murder".

Here he is making noises with his mouth which he does all day long. Love the double chin.

"Oh what, were you looking at me?"

The shoes are still a little big, but I couldn't help myself. They just completed the outfit.

Just one of the many cute pictures of him. I have taken like a million pictures so it is hard to choose which ones to put on here.

We went to get him this little chair so he could sit up better and all they had was pink. So he gets to have a cute little pink chair.
We will be coming down to AZ in two weeks, and we are so excited about it. Can't wait to see everyone then.

Week of the animals

So last weekend, Shawn was outside cleaning up the yard. We have a ton of bushes on the side of our house. He came inside and said, "I don't know if you want to know this, but I found a dead cat in our bushes." Luckily, Owen was asleep so I ran outside to see what I could do. There was no hope for the cat unfortunately. As we were taking car of it, we heard little meows coming from somewhere in the forest of bushes. I jumped in and tracked down where it was coming from and pulled out these two adorable little kittens. Ofcourse it was the day after Thanksgiving so a lot of places were closed. Luckily, the Humane Society was open and I ran them over there so they could take care of them and give them a home. I wish I could have kept them, but we are all allergic to cats. I swear I should have been a vet. Maybe someday I will own an animal shelter or something. I just love animals so much, I don't know what it is. I am just glad that we found these little guys before they became victims of the cold weather too.

Now onto a creature that is not as loveable as kittens. I went out to get the mail today and saw this on my front porch. I have never seen a spider like this in my life. It is huge and such a strange color. This picture does not do it justice. I had to get a pen so you can see the size of this beast. Scccaaaarrrrryyyyy! Too bad it is not Halloween anymore. I mean, black cats and spiders. How much more Halloweeny can you get?

New Pictures

Here are just some pictures from over the past couple of weeks. I hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving.

Bundled up to go on our walk.

Not wanting to look at the camera.

Naked babies are just so cute.

He loves mirrors.

Owen with Dad playing video games.

How we spent our Sunday.

So in an effort to save money, I have decided to cut Shadows hair myself. So I decided to do something a little different.

President Obama!!

Well America spoke loudly yesterday and elected the next President Barack Obama. I am so excited about this and the future of our country. I was really impressed with John Mccains speech last night and Barack Obama's speech was wonderful as well. What a great and historic election but I am glad that it is over. I hope he proves to be a great a President as I think he will be. Anything is better than what we have had to go through for the past 8 years. One bad thing came out of this election and that is California's Prop 8 looks like it is going to pass. What a sad sad thing that people feel they have the right to tell others how to live their lives. All they want is equal rights, no more, no less. What a step back for human rights. I haven't posted anything political on here for a reason but I was really excited about this so I had to share my thoughts.

Halloween 08'

Happy Halloween a couple of days late. We dressed up as characters from the cartoon Futurama and it was a lot of fun. We went trick-or-treating with some friends and it rained on us. It was really nice weather though so it was ok.

He usually hates tummy time but I was lucky to get these cute pictures of him on his tummy.

I think he is going to start getting sick of my kisses because I give them to him too much. I love this kid so much, he has been a little angel and we have been having a ton of fun together.

Here we are at Shawn's work Halloween party right before we went trick-or-treating. I was surprised to see so many Obama supporters in Utah but we saw a ton of signs for him while we were out. This week will be interesting and I really hope that Obama wins which is probably much different than all of you who read this. It will prove to be an eventful Tuesday and a much needed change for our country. Love you all.

First Family Photos!!

So we got our first family picture taken. Of course we decide to do it on the first weekend it snows and is freezing outside, so most of them were taken in the house. My friend Shannon took them for us and we had a lot of fun doing them.

Here is Owen getting ready for Halloween. We love Halloween around here. It is our favorite.

His first time on a skateboard and I am quite sure it won't be his last.

He doesn't like tummy time too much if you couldn't tell.

Disneyland 2008

So we just got back from Disneyland with my family and it was such a blast. It was so great to see my entire family and have them all meet Owen. As you can see, he has grown a ton and has started smiling ton. Here are a few pictures of him from the past month or so.

The scrunch-smile face. I love it.

He loved Disneyland and was obviously very tired in that picture. He was actually really good and let us all enjoy being with him and getting to go on rides. He got to ride Pirates of the Carribbean, the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted House (which is my favorite), and a couple of he little kids rides. He had a great time.

Grandpa finally got to meet his little grandson and what a cute sight. And little Emerson and Owen look so cute with eachother. They are going to be great friends I can already tell. I love how close in age they are together.

Thanks mom and dad for the great trip and we can't wait to see you on Christmas. We love you so much.
