Owen laughing

I finally figured out how to put the video's from our camera on here. So here is a little video of Owen this morning laughing with Dad.

Well, Owen turned 8 months old this month and I can't believe it. He is growing up so fast. Here are a few pictures of the little monster.

I love that he is feeding himself his bottle.
A few things that I love about my son: He goes to sleep soooo easily. I put him down and he does the rest. I love when friends are over when it is his bedtime and I go to put Owen down and come out in 30 seconds. They always say, "That's it?". It is one of my favorite things. He then will sleep through us playing games like RockBand, with the singing and all. He is a pretty good sleeper, although lately he has been taking only two half hour naps during the day and I am not so fond of that one. Hopefully it is a phase.
I also love how he is not crawling yet. He will flop onto his stomach but won't get far at all. I am totally ok with waiting for the mobile phase. Another thing I love is how much he talks ... well babbles I guess. He is very vocal and his laugh could melt me. He has been so much fun lately and I couldn't love him any more.

Art Project

So Shawn and I spent about 8 hours cleaning our kitchen on Saturday. We did a real "spring cleaning" if you will and it looked super white when we were finished. It needed something. So we came up with this art project to do. These windows had some terrible lace curtains on them before with these white pull-down shades. We decided we would put some of our art on them to spruce them up a bit. Shawn drew the trees and birds with a pencil and then we both took one to paint, and here is the outcome. It was a lot of fun to do and I think it turned out pretty good. Enjoy!

This one is the one that I painted.

This is Shawn's.

And here they are together up in the window's.

New Pictures

I don't really have much news but I thought I would post some new pictures of Owen. He is still cute!

So sleepy and cuddling with Batman.

Owen, Dad, and Shadow on St. Patrick's Day.

We love St. Patrick's Day and if you don't wear green, expect a pinch from us.

Owen is 7 months old!!

My little boy turned 7 months old. I can't believe how fast it has gone by. I love this kid soooo much. He has been such a blessing to us. He is super easy going and I just love to hang out with him and just look at him. It has been quite a crazy couple of months. Both me and Shawn got laid off from our jobs on Friday the 13th if you can believe it. So that was a bit of a hard time, but we are getting through and will be fine. My dad flew me out to AZ to help with some accounting. It was so great to see my family and of course they loved to see Owen. Poor Shawn had to stay home all alone, but he had an art job to do so at least he was busy with something. Oh, I am going to be participating in this years MS Bike Tour this June. I need to raise money for it so if anyone wants to donate, email me at ylindsie@hotmail.com and I will give you the information.

Hanging out with the boys.

Owen doesn't know how to make her feel better. It looks like he is putting his little hand on her knee as if to say, "It's going to be ok Emmy."

Thanks for feeding me Uncle Landon!

Owen LOVES Mckenna. She was making him laugh so hard the whole time we were there, and he would just stare at her. We love you Mckenna.

Uncle Joey playing with Owen.

He was in Camber's room and Joey and her were playing with him. He was super tired because we had just gotten off a plane and it was way past his bed time. But they were still able to get him to laugh.

He is getting so big, well not in size but he is growing in other ways. He is a little tiny thing. He is 7 months old now, and he still wears 3-6 month clothes. I love my little peanut boy.

In dad's hat. I am sure it won't be the last. He doesn't mind having hats on his head, just like his dad.

Too cute!

This was on his 7 month birthday. I could just eat him up.

Mom attack.

Emo Shadow

Me and Shawn were playing video games one night and I look over at Shadow, and this is what I see. He had the most emo hair style I had to take a picture. This dog cracks me up.

Owen is 6 months old!

I can't believe that Owen is already 6 months old. It has gone by so fast and has been so much fun. We have been going through a hard time like the rest of the country and he has made me smile on the worst of days. I love him so much and am so lucky that he is mine. Here are a few reasons why ...

He loves his batman.

He is sitting up on his own and is loving it. And look at that smile, it gets me everytime.

He is always in a good mood ... well almost always.

Like father, like son. I love seeing these two play together. It is one of the best things in life.

Awwwwww

Update time

Well, since my last post Owen has gotten cuter, Shawn still has not been paid, Owen got sick for the first time, the Cardinals are going to the SuperBowl, and Owen and Shadow became friends. January has been a crazy month for us but we are hanging in there. Here are a few pictures to update everyone on our little family.

Erica gave Owen this adorable little surfer shirt. So I thought she would like to see how it looks. And it is cute.

Getting ready for a bath.

He loves to cross his legs like this. When we had our ultrasound of him, he was doing this same thing in my tummy. He is just chillin on the couch.

Poor little sick Owen. We all got a bad cold this past week. I am pleased to say we are all doing a lot better.

Even when he is sick he is happy.

This was us watching the inaguration of President Obama. He was very happy if you can't tell.

Shawn scared him super bad, and this was the shot I got.

Owen tried solid food. As you can tell he didn't like it too much. This was the one and only time we tried. I think we will wait just a bit longer to start him fully on solids.

Well, I know every parent goes through this at least once. Shawn was holding Owen and he said "Oh I think he is filling his pants". Little did we know it was running out of them as well. Shawn got up and brought him to his room and there was a little trail of baby poop the whole way. I should have taken a picture of Shawns pants because there was quite a bit on him as well.

You can't really tell here but he has leaked out his diaper.

These two are so cute together. Just recently Owen has become aware of Shadow and has started pulling at him. Shadow is so good with him, he just lets him pull his hair and then just licks him to death. They will be best buddies.

My two favorite guys in the whole world.
